leica dream Posted December 30, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted December 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I want to get up to speed with PS Elements 4 as quickly as possible. Is trial and error the only way to learn the facilities along with the Help screens, or does anyone know a publication which can take me through? Or perhaps there is a better tool for my very amateur needs - the full photoshop is awesome (and expensive) but looks far too OTT for my needs. Advertisement Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Hi leica dream, Take a look here Photoshop Elements 4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hdg Posted December 30, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted December 30, 2007 First I propose to switch over to Elements 6. It`s up to date. Don`t spent any time in version 4. Â Regards Hans
leica dream Posted December 30, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted December 30, 2007 Thanks, Hans. That seems like a good move as my version 4 came free with my V-Lux1. Also there is a manual which has been written to accompany version 6 which has good critics so that should get me started. Richard
jaapv Posted December 30, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted December 30, 2007 The Photoshop Elements books by Scott Kelby are just what you need.
hdg Posted December 30, 2007 Share #5  Posted December 30, 2007 Usually I am working with CS3. It`s the top to handle my DMR-dng pictures. I have bought LR (and updated) because I have tested it over a longer periode. It looks well but I don`t need it. As to my opinion in any way there is better stuff. Now I have bought Elements 6 (€ 80 in Germany). It`s a surprising programm. I need it for teaching use and it works well.  Regards Hans
