Popular Post fotografr Posted October 16, 2024 Popular Post Share #1 Posted October 16, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday I had a session at our local billiards hall after sitting out several weeks due to a back surgery. Shortly after I arrived one of my billiards friends approached me because he saw I had my camera. He asked if I'd take a few shots of his 87 year-old father, Jerry Briesath, who was giving a lesson. The reason, he said, was that his father was getting up in age and "who knows how much longer he'll be around?" Jerry is someone I've know for several decades and is considered the best pool instructor in the world. He was inducted into the Billiards Congress of America hall Of Fame two years ago. Jerry teaches pool both mathematically (angles) and physically (the stroke). I get nervous when he's around because he'll watch me shoot and if he sees me doing something wrong he'll come over and give me a refresher lesson. Welcome, dear visitor! Thanks very much. I forgot to include my camera and lens info. I shot with my M10M and 50mm Summicron, so no conversion was necessary. I love the image quality from that camera!
