For anyone who hasn't noticed yet, the October update to Lightroom Classic now allows the use of Denoise on Leica monochrome files. I just tried it on a file from my M11M and it works as expected. It's quite slow (on my M1 Mac Studio), but as far as I'm concerned, it's worth the wait. Finally! Now if DxO would just follow suit.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't noticed any changes to the De Noise function yet. It's not visible in ether bridge of Lightroom yet. I am reluctant to update from creative cloud as yet because there have been some issues (as usual) when updates for operating systems and or photoshop updates come at the same time.

Best

Thank you for the heads-up; that is great news.

The latest ACR can also apply AI Denoise without generating a new DNG. Hopefully, Lightroom will implement that soon as well.

Does that make the DNG edit fully non-destructive? You can step back through History including AI Denoise?

It is non-destructive in the same way as the old manual NR slider. ACR does not have history. Whether it is non-destructive in PS will depend on your PS workflow.

Oh yes, of course - I was thinking about Lightroom History - we shall see - LR has just updated but is going through the catalogue upgrading routing

I think the AI Denoise function creates a new DNG. But I usually edit a copy anyway.

In the latest update, when you turn on technology preview, ACR does not create a new DNG when running AI Denoise.
