Hi, I just noticed that my front ring, or the nameplate ring, is a bit wobbly. Is it normal? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, I see one. It seems pretty tight.

Here's a thread from 2011 where a member glued a UV filter to his Summicron lens hood with two spots of superglue but when he came to use the lens the front element had turned permanently white.

Have the same. So far haven't felt the need to address the issue, but if I ever do get a CLA will ask to have it looked at.

Same here. And same situation in a Leica Store nearby with a brand-new version. Maybe the ring should be "loose" by default? I use the lens pretty often and have no issues concerning quality...so I would be careful with superglue

It's that way by design. It acts as a spring washer when you screw on the lens hood.

Just as an extra metric mine too exhibits this and the above post is correct, it acts this way to keep the hood secure and from unscrewing accidentally.
