A drop of superglue should fix it.

WARNING: You need to be very careful using superglue or any cyanoacrylate (CA) resinous substance on or near to lenses because CA fumes can cause permanent haze to form on the coatings on lens elements.

Here's a thread from 2011 where a member glued a UV filter to his Summicron lens hood with two spots of superglue but when he came to use the lens the front element had turned permanently white.

Pete.

Have the same. So far haven't felt the need to address the issue, but if I ever do get a CLA will ask to have it looked at.

Same here. And same situation in a Leica Store nearby with a brand-new version. Maybe the ring should be "loose" by default? I use the lens pretty often and have no issues concerning quality...so I would be careful with superglue
