microview Posted October 4, 2024 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) For me It's the two-battery charger, which means with, say a Macbook Pro, delving into system preferences and temporarily disabling energy saving. With the all the earlier chargers it meant simply plugging into the mains.
Advertisement Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Hi microview, Take a look here Q3 43 what's not to Leica (er, like)?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

microview Posted October 4, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted October 4, 2024 Yes it's fine and LED info is clear. Just more fiddly than was, say, the M11P charger.

Obviously, if you really need geotagging, this solution won't work.

Ive never charged a camera from a laptop. Also, the mains battery chargers are large and cumbersome and extremely inefficient

newtoleica Posted October 4, 2024 Share #12 Posted October 4, 2024 I have a 4 socket USB C charger that does everything EXCEPT my Leica M10 and Q2 chargers. USB C only would be a big boon while travelling, and on my desk.

microview Posted October 5, 2024 Author Share #14 Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) 13inch Macbook Pro from 2017 running Catalina (would lose Capture One 21 if I went for later OS). Laptop charger lead has USB C plug so wonder if I could connect this straight into the Leica twin-battery BC-SCL6 charger.
