A good news. I just bought a Haoge lens hood specially made for Q3 43. They solve the problem perfectly. The hood is slightly higher than the original Leica one. It can easily use for macro mode or uv filter. Here is a photo for comparison.

Does the stock lens cap fit on it?

Also, is it aligned properly when completely screwed on?

Lastly, can macro mode be used with a filter in place?

And does it vignette, in normal or macro?

Cap can fit well. Alignment is perfect when screwed on. No problem using both macro mode plus filter. I have not tested vignette. Here are photos when putting in lens cap, at macro mode and normal mode.

Fantastic.  Thank you.

I ordered mine yesterday.  I use a ND filter to keep things in mechanical shutter range and sometimes a CPL.  Looks like I may be able to still rotate the CPL with this hood on.

Did you buy directly via the company's web site?

I bought one via eBay

I should have done that.  I ordered from the website, but last time I ordered something from them it took a while to get here.

Edit:  I just loooked.  Ebay item is coming from China, so it probably doesn't make a difference in delivery time.

Ordered one on Nov. 1st from the Haoge web site.  Now, nearly 8 days later it is at the post office (near Seattle) hopefully being delivered today (but likely tomorrow).  No tax and quite detailed tracking information to let you know the grand tour of China the package gets to go on.  Hoping that when it arrives it works as advertised.

Me too! I ordered mine 8 days ago, it’s currently at Heathrow airport… Website suggests it’s being delivered tomorrow… Fingers crossed it’s looks and works as described!

I ordered the same day also, currently appears to be in LA, and then will head up to Seattle

Mine arrived today (11/9) and as described, fit and lined up well and with no vignetting.  No issue with a filter and macro mode.  Looks very similar to the stock hood on the Q3 in length.  The Match Technical rubber cap works with the Q3 43 Haoge hood on the Q3 43 (the cap did not work as well with the stock shorter Q3 43 hood, it would hit the aperture ring before fully seating).  Also the stock lens cap will work (as expected) as will a 65mm push-on plastic cap but there is less of a lip on that cap compared with the stock one.

I‘ve bought the B&W Nano Filter and the Haoge hood.

works perfectly and the hood quality is on par with Leica.
