It is also sold by Leica Miami -- and cheap knock offs are available on Etsy. Wait a little while, and I am sure a version will be available for the Q3 43. David I use the Red Dot camera cap made by them on a 3d printer. Am very happy with it. Welcome, dear visitor! Cri9971 Posted February 27 Share #162 Posted February 27 I don't know if some of you are still looking for a filter for the Q3 43 where you still can use the original hood. Yesterday I got this one at the Leica Store in Stuttgart, works perfectly for me: - B+W 007 MRC - works perfectly with macro - you can still use the original hood. - delivered with a ring to install it - price: 150 EUR. I join a few pictures. Happy with this solution, works perfectly for me! Welcome, dear visitor! Is this filter specially designed for Q3/43? Because it seems the filter sits flush on the ring. I know the regular b+w 007 mrc or even t-pro line doesn’t work with original hood when macro is engaged

Mateusz Rode - Tekiac Posted February 28 Share #167 Posted February 28 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, We've had a lot going on this week. I'm Mateusz from Tekiac. In the last few days we were able to supply the Leica Store Stuttgart with the new lens filters for the Leica Q3 43. Yesterday we started the Tekiac online store. But today we switched on the international order. Unfortunately we were not fast enough. The order should now be possible. Otherwise just write us via the contact form if something should not work. Greetings Mateusz

plantagoo Posted March 11 Share #169 Posted March 11 I just visited the Leica Store in Stuttgart and was introduced the new ultra slim Filter from Tekiac. It's really a very interesting design - we had a little bit of trouble removing the filter - but normally you won't do that often. Phantastic idea and premium glass from B+W. Recommended. Mateusz Rode - Tekiac Posted March 13 Share #170 Posted March 13 (edited) Hello, The easiest way to mount the filter is: First, place the camera on a table with the lens facing up. Then gently screw in the filter. Finally, use the handling tool and two fingers to gently tighten it. I hope this helps. Here's a video showing the easiest way to do it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlXHHVjXpJE Leica Q3 43" width="200" data-embed-src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/VlXHHVjXpJE?feature=oembed"> Edited March 13 by Mateusz Rode - Tekiac

It wouldn’t have grip to loose the filter. Correct me if I’m wrong. I have the filter now but I don’t want to put it on yet
Mateusz Rode - Tekiac Posted March 14 Share #172 Posted March 14 (edited) There's a misunderstanding. You can, of course, use the tool in both directions. To screw the filter in and out. And you can do this as often as you like. That's the trick and the innovation of the filter. The tool doesn't need grip, but has aluminum teeth on the bottom that hook into the filter at the appropriate points. You can easily remove and screw on the filter without using your fingernails. Don't worry, you can screw the filter in and screw it back on. Edited March 14 by Mateusz Rode - Tekiac

We've improved our website and added more detail to the Mounting Aid. Here are more information about the tool https://tekiac.com/en/pages/how-to-use. I hope that now the functionality is clear and you don't have to worry about using the filter.
