I like the angle. I think would crop the top quarter off to eliminate the horizontal line and the building and object at the top. I wouldn’t; the combined shadows create an interesting “Z” shape. You could still keep the Z shape by cropping not quite as much as I said and still eliminate the confusing structures above the horizontal shadow. I like your B&W idea.
