Can you give some details on this exposure?  Cropped?  Aperture?

The bokeh is really beautiful on this lens as expected based on the MTF charts. Almost reminds me of a vintage lens with the modern correction for aspherical abbreviations. Stunning

Would you mind elaborating this a little bit, please?

Sorry, did not see your next question 🙂 As I wrote before, the only things done with the file with a preset I have build in Lightroom mobile.

In detail:

exposure +0.03

contrast: +9

shadows: +27

blacks: -11

white balance ooc (temp 5400K, tint +13)

vignette after cropping -15

no sharpening

This is one of the routines I use for almost all of my pictures as a starting point.

Nice images …

With the slightly longer lens (43 vs 28mm), the question arises as to if you can repeatedly focus at f/2.0 on an eye with a subject that is moving slowly, or erratically.  I ask, because I’m using the Hasselblad X2D with the 90mm and 38mm lenses.. 35mm equivalent of around 75/30mm.  With the 90mm @ f/2.5.. (slightly faster than the f/2.0), I can reliably focus on a face that isn’t moving much, but I can’t reliably get an eye in focus.  I can see using the 43mm for environmental portraits where I’m trying to isolate the subject from the background.  So, am I buying an autofocus that can perform this task when I purchase the 43?  I intentionally delayed my order to get on the list, but delay delivery until more information is available.  I appreciate your feedback.

I can't answer your question today, @BWColor, as I have taken a few pictures on the way home today only. I will put the camera to some further testing in the next days, as I will visit some portrait workshops tomorrow and Saturday. There I will probably be able to work with the eye detection auto focus. I will certainly share my experiences and more pictures here in the next time, as I have done with the Q3 before. From my first impressions the camera is another nice tool. I was not certain if I "need" this new version, but as the workflow is same as with the Q3, it uses the same batteries and I had a very good shooting experience with the 40mm Summicron on my Leica Minilux I grabbed it immediately today.

By the way, if you want to use an ND Filter on the Q3 43, you cannot use the small thin "square" hood that comes with the camera -- it won't fit.
You'll have to use the optional "circle" hood shown here, instead.
