rjsphd Posted September 24, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I pulled out my SL2 after a long hiatus and put on my APO 90mm for some portrait work. The camera is set to manual focus, high focus peaking sensitivity and manual ISO. I have v.5.0 firmware. The red focus peaking is nowhere in my EVF. I didn't see a cure in a previous thread. Suggestions/Solutions, anyone? Thanks in advance, Rob I
Advertisement Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Hi rjsphd, Take a look here Missing Focus Peaking (Redux?). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jrp Posted September 24, 2024 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2024 There must be another setting for the screen such as showing the level or tilting adjustments that inhibits focus peaking.
rjsphd Posted September 24, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted September 24, 2024 Thanks. I removed the level and tilt and still no peaking. Which other adjustments should I make?
Jean-Michel Posted September 24, 2024 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2024 Section 5 of the SL2 Menu Camera Settings --- Capture Assistants ---Infio Profile 1, 2,3,4 select what you want using Setting, including having focus peeking on or off This assigns what you se in the finder as you press the Function button (the one between Play and Menu) To make my life easier, I attached a rubber bumper on that button (the kind you use on furniture or back of picture frames.

But some settings don't work if you have "enhanced live view" on, you should probably turn it off

rjsphd Posted September 25, 2024 Author Share #8 Posted September 25, 2024 Thanks for helping me figure it out. The peaking is still very slight, almost not visible unless I magnify, but it is there now
LeicaR10 Posted September 25, 2024 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2024 (edited) Rjsphd, I suggest you simply do a reset of the camera to original factory settings and redo your profiles and settings. r/ Mark PS You might brush up by reading the manual for setting profiles and settings if you haven't used the camera in some time.
