I pulled out my SL2 after a long hiatus and put on my APO 90mm for some portrait work.

The camera is set to manual focus, high focus peaking sensitivity and manual ISO. I have  v.5.0 firmware.

The red focus peaking is nowhere in my EVF.

I didn't see a cure in a previous thread.

Suggestions/Solutions, anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Section 5 of the SL2 Menu

Camera Settings  --- Capture Assistants ---Infio Profile 1, 2,3,4  select what you want using Setting, including having focus peeking on or off

This assigns what you se in the finder as you press the Function button (the one between Play and Menu)

To make my life easier, I attached a rubber bumper on that button (the kind you use on furniture or back of picture frames.

that is how you turn it on and off.

But some settings don't work if you have "enhanced live view" on, you should probably turn it off

Rjsphd,   I suggest you simply do a reset of the camera to original factory settings and redo your profiles and settings.  r/ Mark

PS  You might brush up by reading the manual for setting profiles and settings if you haven't used the camera in some time.
