Seb -

It is a lovely and most appealing image. Did she enjoy herself?

Even though you just have access now a flatbed I recommend that you clean the flatbed's platen and the print, carefully position the print to eliminate the white, and scan again. The image is so good that it deserves the extra effort.

OK, first of all, it was taken with the 28 f2.0. See - it CAN take portraits.

I took it in Berwickshire, just 10 miles indside the border on Coldingham Loch. We rented a little house actually on the loch that jutts out on stilts. Fantastic if you can live without electricity. Couldn't charge a digicam up there LOL.

William - thanks for your comments - the light is so lovely up there it is difficult to get a bad photo. My girlfriend took a picture of the extractor fan in the bathroom window and it ended up in her portfolio! see xanthegreenhill.com.

Sebastian. I commented before.

You have a great sense w.r.t colour, which also makes this photograph. The way you put everything into context is astonishing and I am very pleased to be able to have a look at your postings. A pleasure and a great honor.

Allow me a stupid q. What film do you use; do you spend usually more than one hour for a posting?

Wow, Im really pleasantly surprised by all the encouraging comments. The film was Kodak 400 NC. Always use it, sometimes the 160 too. Seb
