When we met she was involved in the London International Pasteup Festival. A talented photographer, Susi is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society
Timmyjoe Posted September 15, 2024 Share #4 Posted September 15, 2024 Nice shot David. But I gotta say, you're dating all of us with that song reference. That was one of my grandfather's old favorites, and he was born in 1901! Best, -Tim
LocalHero1953 Posted September 15, 2024 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2024 We’ve been FB friends for years (she has many!). I was once on a Leica Akademie workshop with her. She documents a lot of London street art/graffiti. But yes, she has had an interesting career and known interesting people. I’m glad you photographed her, David!

When I was a kid, if someone asked my name quite often I was asked “Any relation to Eddie?”

Ella Shields wrote it, and performed it in the 1920's, and Eddie Cantor and Al Jolson made it famous. And by the way, "Any relation to Eddie?" I see that you’re in Chicago and by sheer coincidence I’m watching a TV programme about the growth of the railways in your city..

I see that you’re in Chicago and by sheer coincidence I’m watching a TV programme about the growth of the railways in your city.. These coincidences just keep going. My grandfather, the one who liked the "If you knew Susi . . ." song, worked for the B&O Railroad and was based out of Chicago when I was a kid. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio (where my family is from), but Grandma and Grandpa were in Chicago from the late 1950's until about 1968.
