Max Kienle,   First, welcome to the forum where you will find photographers who will share their wealth of knowledge and experience with you.  Second, you posted your question in the wrong forum thread.  You should repost your question in the L Mount thread under lenses. This is the Leica S camera thread, the medium format camera.  But to answer your question, the new Leica SL 2X Extender does not work on the SL 90-280.  It will work on the new SL 70-200.  You can read about it in the L Mount Lenses.  Also check the Leica Camera AG website.  r/ Mark

The SL90-280 has a fixed rear element. It is physically impossible to fit any L mount teleconverter to it, unfortunately. Only the 100-400 and 70-200 can take the TC's, along with a host of Sigma and Panasonic options. All the L mount tc's are usable on compatible lenses from any L mount brand so you can use a Leica TC on a Sigma 60-600 for example.
