I do have a recommendation, and I wouldn't use a neoprene lens pouch for the same reasons people don't want to use a leather pouch, fungus (Let the vilifications begin! 😉 ) ... I have used the Leica leather zip up pouches for over 12 or 14 years without any issues, until I discovered this lens cloth pouch by Leica... and it sells for only €30 at Leica Stores in France (€25 before taxes) They have to be special orders, it is not something they usually keep in stock. This is the same cloth pouch that comes with the New Steel Rim Reissue and the Summaron 28 classic reissue, and came with a couple of other modern Leica lenses (Summarit 35 and 50 I think). It can be ordered directly via a Leica Store or a Leica reseller, the internal 12 number Leica part for this pouch is 439-614.059-000 It fits a Leica Noctilux Classic Reissue with a filter and both lens cap on it. It won't be an issue for a 50 Summicron or even smaller lenses. I used it for the Steel Rim and a 28 Elmarit without its lens hood. I ordered a second one for my 50 Lux ASPH, and still have the one which came with my 35 Steel Rim Reissue. I'll most likely get a couple more soon, they are practical. Welcome, dear visitor! The empty pouch next to a 50/1.2 with filter and both caps, end cap and pinch front cap on the lens. With the 50/1.2 Noctilux seen in the previous photo in it. Both pouches with the Noctilux in one and the New Steel Rim next to the other empty one. They are great small cloth pouches and take less space than the Leica zip up leather pouches when in a camera bag or a coat pocket. Only useful when there is something which could bang on the lens, otherwise it is faster to swap lenses when the lenses are just in a separate pocket in the camera bag without any caps on them. Hope this helps Edited September 13, 2024 by patrickcolpron Typos and "whatnots" 2
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! It’s just to protect in a bag. This is what brought the need up. In my Billingham 225 the lenses all have their own pocket but I got a Hadley one to travel with and needed to pack lenses in the half inset under the m11.

They are sadly just one size that I know about. They will fit small to regular size M lenses, pretty much all 35 and 50mm lenses will fit. You can forget about a 28 Lux with its lens hood fitting in one of those cloth pouches. The 28 Lux will only fit in it without the lens hood (Just tried it) For the 28 Lux I use the Leica micro fibre pouches found in Leica M boxes which hold the charger and extra cables. I have a lot of M so I have a lot of these micro fibre pouches... Anyhoo,  to pack lenses in the half inset under an M camera with a lens, these cloth pouches are perfect because they are thicker than micro fibre pouches.
