KFo Posted October 21, 2024 Share #21 Â Posted October 21, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have considered that with my M10P from an exposure standpoint I don't really need fast lenses. Â It all started when my Canon 28 f/2.8 LTM became my goto lens with occasional use of the Summaron 28 f/5.6. B***h has never been a thing on my mind so the fast lens for b***h is lost on me. Â I never had an image where I said "this would be a good photo were it not for the b***h." Â I do appreciate the subject separation at times though. Â So I'm not ditching my Summilux. Â But, yes I have a nice group of "slow" glass that yields results that please me.
Advertisement Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Hi KFo, Take a look here M11M Why Not Slow Small Lenses?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Alberti Posted October 22, 2024 Share #22  Posted October 22, 2024 Bokeh or not: the 35mm v4 35mm is a hell of a lens. Like someone said, I don’t care sharpness; in fact I like that specific out of focus. Slower lenses exist too with sometimes a ring-of-sharpness/onion ring or whatever to call it. Now as a small lens: try the Elmar 50/3.5. It might fit in. New small ‘apo asph’. lenses might be more of another , modern true , look.
