It was blazing hot, somewhere around 104 degrees F heat index, and I was a little surprised to see someone sitting at an outside table having lunch. I learned that he's the owner of a jazz club called Coda, which is right across the street from where we were. He looked so distinguished with his white hat and clothing, set off with his white beard and mustache, that I asked if I could photograph him. This shot was taken when a good friend of his stopped to say hello and it turned out better than the ones where he was looking at the camera. His full name is Hannah Jon Taylor. fotografr Posted August 27, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) I was a little embarrassed when I googled him and read that he is considered the preeminent jazz sax player in this area and has traveled around the world playing with many of the jazz greats--people like Nina Simone, Richie Havens and Miles Davis. I'm certain I've seen him play locally but just didn't make the connection when I saw him yesterday. Edited August 27, 2024 by fotografr
