All the comments questioning the appropriateness of the 43mm focal length are interesting when you consider that the Leica CL camera series of the 1970's introduced the 40mm Summicron. Make no mistake, that was a very good lens, and usable copies are still in use today. I carried one everywhere I went for several years in the 1980's, and until the camera body broke down, it served me well.

I find that with the 43mm the closest focusing distance (non macro) of 0.6m is quite limiting, so I ve been switching between macro/non macro quite often for the past few hours.

That it focuses at normal mode only to 0.6m and the macro mode goes only to 1:4 with not too much working distance is quite disappointing for my photography. I wonder if the effective focal length (not the nominal which is measured at infinity) is much shorter than 43mm in macro mode.

Good to know, I never consider Sigma is capable of making a camera, or at least a camera I would ever buy.

I don't even look at their lenses.

You're missing a lot of high quality kit: I've owned a fp, and have two L-mount lenses, both excellent in IQ and build.

Their lenses in my experience are exceptional on a technical level. I have no experience with their bodies.

Sigma dp3 Merrill with 75mm f2.8 lens (apsc sensor with 50mm lens):

I had that camera to supplement my original Q. I liked having 2 cameras instead of changing lenses, faster and never sensor dust. The Sigma was great with enough light with at least as good colors compared to the Q but it had just too low sensitivity to be used except in bright light. ISO 400 was not quite useable

This guy goes nuts at the end asking for Q3 75 and 90 to come on the horizon..

Geez.... I haven't seen a fixed lens camera with focal length longer than 50

This is the only one I can think of...at least off the top of my head.

Just picked mine up.

Store had around 15 to sell, all gone in minutes.

Rep said Leica really wants these out in the public. But once they’re bought up it might take a while to find one.

They will be on eBay at inflated prices in a few days.
