I thought some might be interested in a size comparison between the X2D+35-75 and the SL3+Sigma 24-70 II. Considering that the Sigma is noticeably wider at the tip and that it has a miso bowl sized hood, the size comparison is not that straightforward. Weight: X2D (895+1115=2010), SL3 (850+750=1600). In my hands, the first combo (X2D+35-75) is noticeably more comfortable for me (I have large hands) due to the much more comfortable grip, despite the greater weight. I would say that this comfortable grip saves about 500-600 grams.

I have the X2D and the 35-70 zoom. It is incredible for landscape work and is pretty good throughout the zoom range.  The SL3 is also incredible when using the Leica 16-35 or 24-90, but again I use it for landscape work.  In general, I prefer the primes on the SL3 for landscape - the 35 is one of my favorite (as is the 45mm on the S3).  The X2D has a very special color output when using the Phocus app and I really like the files.  The SL3 is special in a different way and also with excellent color, but also weather sealing such that I dont’ care what the weather is or will be, I know the camera and lens combo come out fine.  I also use the SL3 with Leica R lenses, the R 34-70 f/4 also being a great lens and similar in some ways to the Hasselblad, but not quite as crisp (and much older).

These are both great systems to show with the zoom.
