Mo Elsaghir Posted August 19, 2024 Share #1  Posted August 19, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently acquired Panasonic Lumix 28 200mm lens to use on my Panasonic S! and it works as a full frame. When I mount it on my Leica SL 601 it goes to crop mode !!  Is it faulty lens or it does not work if full mode with Leica sl ? I also noticed the same behavior with the Panasonic 20 60mm on the Leica SL Help

geraldc Posted August 20, 2024 Share #5  Posted August 20, 2024 I have also recently acquired the Lumix 28 to 200 for use on my SL3. Works perfectly at full frame. Initial shots are very encouraging. Visually a bit soft at 200. Focusing is very snappy and it has inbuilt OIS. Going on a 2 week trip in early September. I will bring this together with a 35 APO (as standby!). Mo Elsaghir Posted August 23, 2024 Author Share #7 Â Posted August 23, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have now updated my SL and the lens works very smoothly with the camera. Very fast focusing and as someone mentioned slightly soft at 200mm but colours are vibrant . It is outdoor lens in my opinion and easy to carry all day, as a one lens. Very pleased with it from practical point of view, I do not have to worry about which focal length lenses to carry on short outing. Will be going on short break to Wales soon. Looking forward to taking this one on its own.
