Hi @ Summilux 35 close focus - owners,

I have a question:

The "Klick" by reaching the close focus < 0,7m is very difficult to feel blind at my 35/1.4 in comparison to my 50/1.4 (here the click or resistance can be felt very clearly)

Is this normal?

Greetings

Michael

I don't have this lens.

Just a thought, when viewing in the VF, using RF focussing

the RF coupling disengage at about 70cm would mean that the rangefinder patch/image would stop moving.

Time to use liveview then.

Yes, my experience using Cosina/Voigtlander lenses that focus closer than .7 meters, it becomes pretty obvious through the finder when the rangefinder stops working when you venture closer than .7 meters. No extra resistance required….

I have both lenses and would say that the resistance is slightly greater with the 50 mm than with the 35 mm. But not significantly.

Yes, I really wish the transition ‘click/bump’ was much more distinct on my copy of the 35 lux FLE v2;  My 35apo has a more distinct ‘bump’ when moving in/out of close focus compared to my 35 luv FLE v2.

I use the 35lux close focus and have never had an issue with feeling the click. Yes it's there and I can feel it if I reach it with no problems, but also am aware when I'm getting close to 0.7m and keep an eye on the VF patch when it stops moving. I do similar with Voigtländer lenses with close focus capability like the 40f1.2 which is one of my favourite lenses. Never had a problem with that either despite having no click. VF patch is the way forward here and if I get to the point when it stops moving, I just go back a little bit and pick it up again and take the shot. All of this assumes Live view isn't being used, when that's on of course just use focus peaking.
