Guest guy_mancuso Posted December 13, 2007 Share #61 Posted December 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not sure everyone is going to like my results the Summarit just rips them all apart. Every test i have run even on different bodies the same result at 2.5 the Summarit wins the sharpness battle.
Advertisement Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hi Guest guy_mancuso, Take a look here Leica 75mm Trio Comparision Lux,Cron,Summarit. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest guy_mancuso Posted December 13, 2007 Share #62 Posted December 13, 2007 Alright i actually ran this test twice on different subject checking focus every time and identical results and it follows the pattern we have been seeing the Lux comes to life at f4 . The Cron is nice at F2 but at 2.5 the edge goes to the summarit. Now there is no sharpening and reason we are seeing what we are..Here is the full image and the Yellow is the approximate crop, Than i will put the Lux 1.4 shot in this farme also Welcome, dear visitor! sdai Posted December 13, 2007 Share #72 Posted December 13, 2007 The lux and cron are no brainers ... I know this sounds stupid but somebody get to speak it out loud ... you can't open the summarit up to f/2.0 or f/1.4, right?

Albert4321 Posted December 13, 2007 Share #76 Posted December 13, 2007 the edge performance on film M's will be somewhat compromised below f5.6. .... performance compromises are next to undetectable on the small imaging size of the M8.Wilson It is good to know. cme4brain Posted December 14, 2007 Share #77 Posted December 14, 2007 A lot of folks will jump on the summarits no question for the price there tough to beat. i actually bought the 90mm summarit and really like it very much. One thing also on the Summarit a shorter focus throw than the Lux and i found that helped me with the 90mm over my 90 cron which has a long throw so I switched it out for the summarit. Thanks for the testing. Too bad you did not have a CV 75mm to compare it too.
