There is one - it’s called “manual” 🤪. I got used to using point and shoots by just pointing the camera at something to change the exposure and then reframing. I do the same thing with the M11 in auto only it works even better as focus is already set. Quicker and easier than trying to use exposure compensation….

Half pressing the shutter is the only way I know of to lock exposure. However, what I generally find works very well is to use spot metering, compose the shot I want in LV and then move the exposure metering spot around the frame until I have the exposure I’m looking for.

Hi!

That's correct, on the Leica M11 and M11 Monochrom, there isn't a dedicated exposure lock button. Half-pressing the shutter release button is the way to lock the exposure. However, you can use the "AE Lock" function in the camera's menu to lock the exposure with a single press of the shutter button, instead of half-pressing it. This might be a more convenient option for you.
