Running the latest iOS 17.6.1, I discovered that my brand new D-Lux 8 will not save images to my iPhone 14 Pro. I simply get an ‘Error’ text on the lower left corner and that is it. Sharing the same image through AirDrop, mail etc. works fine.

Trouble shooting so far:

- rebooted both D-Lux 8 and iPhone
- unpaired and re-paired iPhone 14 Pro with D-Lux 8
- use another SD card
- switch between DNG and JPG format
- use another iPhone (12 Pro)

Unfortunately the issue remains. I already contacted Leica support but any at LUF suggestion is welcome

I have the same issue in that it allows me to select either DNG or JPEG (or both) to download, they then appear as ‘downloaded’ but don’t appear in the Leica Gallery in the app or my camera roll. Both iPad 11” Pro and my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Carried out all your steps but no joy, my SL3, Q3 and M11’s all work just fine and allow export to Lightroom (very handy).

Please could other new D-Lux 8 photographers let us know if they have the same issue as this appears to be a major bug plus the lack of a double tap to re-centre the focus point!!

I'm not sure if I have understood correctly what you meant... so:

In settings from the Leica Photo app I selected Lightroom as my image editing software. After this is done you have the Lightroom button in the bottom left corner, when touching this button the image is transferred to Lightroom which opens automatically
