mhoutman Posted August 13, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Running the latest iOS 17.6.1, I discovered that my brand new D-Lux 8 will not save images to my iPhone 14 Pro. I simply get an ‘Error’ text on the lower left corner and that is it. Sharing the same image through AirDrop, mail etc. works fine. Trouble shooting so far: - rebooted both D-Lux 8 and iPhone - unpaired and re-paired iPhone 14 Pro with D-Lux 8 - use another SD card - switch between DNG and JPG format - use another iPhone (12 Pro) Unfortunately the issue remains. I already contacted Leica support but any at LUF suggestion is welcome .
Advertisement Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Hi mhoutman, Take a look here D-Lux 8 not saving photos to iPhone. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SJH Posted August 31, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2024 I have the same issue in that it allows me to select either DNG or JPEG (or both) to download, they then appear as ‘downloaded’ but don’t appear in the Leica Gallery in the app or my camera roll. Both iPad 11” Pro and my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Carried out all your steps but no joy, my SL3, Q3 and M11’s all work just fine and allow export to Lightroom (very handy). Please could other new D-Lux 8 photographers let us know if they have the same issue as this appears to be a major bug plus the lack of a double tap to re-centre the focus point!! Rickyfizz70 Posted August 31, 2024 Share #3 Posted August 31, 2024 I have no issues with transferring Images (jpgs+DNG) from my D-Lux 8 to my IPhone 15 Pro (17.6.1), Images appear in Leica Gallery and be forwarded to Lightroom. Only the absence of Double tap to re-centre is really annoying

Thomas Scheier Posted November 2, 2024 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2024 I have no problem in transferring files form de D8 to my Huawei . What does not come through are the DNG's which obviously are too heavy. What I would like to know is how to get to the Lightroom software. Do download it from the Leica App or is it already present in the the camera software. Tks
Rickyfizz70 Posted November 3, 2024 Share #6 Posted November 3, 2024 I'm not sure if I have understood correctly what you meant... so: In settings from the Leica Photo app I selected Lightroom as my image editing software. After this is done you have the Lightroom button in the bottom left corner, when touching this button the image is transferred to Lightroom which opens automatically Welcome, dear visitor! rsolomon Posted November 4, 2024 Share #7 Posted November 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mines working fine D Lux 8 to iPhone 14 Max…. I will say it appears to be a battery killer. I’m connecting as desired and otherwise I turn off the connection
Rickyfizz70 Posted November 6, 2024 Share #8 Posted November 6, 2024 I have to correct myself 😬 DNG files from my D-Lux 8 transfer via Leica photo app to my iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 18.1) but do not show up in the Leica App only in the Apple Fotos Galery. For my Q3 it worked some time ago but I didn’t test it yet
Popppon Posted March 29 Share #9 Posted March 29 I can transfer files from the D8 to my Huawei without issues, but the DNG files don’t come through, likely due to their large size
jaapv Posted March 29 Share #10 Posted March 29 Do people realize that many phones have memories that are smaller than an average SD card?
