Hey! i'm not an insider trader, K.P. prisonnier.gif

I know nothing more than you do. ange.gif

If so, I know you're at least intelligent enough not to fall for that transvestite job posted by a monkey which replaces its photo at the same time that it comes under pressure!!

J' espère que ta bouteille sera si digne de ton gout que la mienne aurait etée du mien... :D

I RARELY post any messages but as we are all entitled to vote

1) Body fake but an excellent effort.

2) I feel a mandatory need to get involved when a bet is involved - particularly when one side's signature is so unique.

ergo - K.P.,- even if you picked wrong, I'd have had to back you -

Sincerely,

KP

(I don't believe I've ever used punctuation when typing my own initials before)

Sincerely

The pictures have disappeared off RFF overnight. Someone has got cold feet or else had a legal boot applied. Roll on 15th...

Not only can't I access the M8 thread (though the link is still there) but the thread with photos of the new Tri-Elmar and illustration of a Universal Viewfinder (which looked sort of naff, I must say...) is gone in its entirety.

My mind is going back and forth on the reality on this representing the M8.

In otherwords this might not be an actual Leica sourced image but a hack rendering done of a discription from someone who has actually handed a unit.

The back panel buttons match that of the Digital-Module-R which makes sense but omit the physical controls for ISO, white balance, moiré and so on.

Ken,

I feel honoured by what you say, but I shan't welcome you, because somehow I sense a familiarity in your tone...

As for the "M8" transvestite (complete with hairy legs!), it's not even going to be called that, as you probably well know.

The funny thing is not that, but the fact that on the 15th September, nobody is going to say that K.P got it right.

Right? ;)

So how is it the leaflets which come back from Solms with newly coded lenses refer to the camera as the M8?

Squid.

Come on, man! You're a doubter; why are you turning conventional on me?

'M8'????? No such thing. Wait and watch. ;)

OK how about being bothered a bit, Steve?

I bet a bottle of cidar that it's not a fake.

For two bottles, Leica will launch two lenses as well.

For three bottles, these lenses will be a 28/2.8 and a 16-21/4.

and a new external viewfinder 16-28mm?

Hi Ruben, I'm really not bothered. I expect the M8 to have the general shape of what's been shown, but I'm not convinced the image represents what will be launched. If it looks like it, it looks like it. If it doesn't, it doesn't :-)

Personally I find myself quite prepared to wait another two and a half weeks ;-)

Sorry, I dont. I am too weak

I hope the concept of the real camera is very minimalist, just like that of the famous pictures.

My only complain with those pictures is that there is no room at the right back of the camera for my hand, I think. The control wheel is too big. Maybe is only a problem of perspective.

Steve,

I am bound to wait until "The One Challenge" as I fly out of here on Sept. 11:D and will be travelling till Oct.11. If you can manage a small favour, could you carry a small hardcopy of the real release with you to Paris as that will be my first opportunity to see 'it'.

Of course, if 'it' looks as currently touted round the web, don't bother, as I have seen that look.

Cheers,

Erl

Erl, no problem. If I can't get hold of one in time we can go to Blvd Beaumarchais. This is the principal camera shop street in Paris with maybe a dozen shops or more on it.

Steve, thet could be very dangerous! I will be travelling with a credit card.
