yanidel Posted July 25, 2024 Share #1  Posted July 25, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello,  Last week, I suddenly started to have problems focusing my 35mm Lux Asph (pre-FLE), especially wide open. At first I thought the rangefinder was off but after checking a few lenses, I realized it was my Lux, which I have owned for 15 years. The front element slightly wobbles when moving it. You can see it in the following video :  Since I live in Argentina and there is no Leica dealer here (and shipping abroad is not easy due to customs policies) , is there an easy fix to that ?  Would a normal camera technician be able to fix it? Or does it need to go to Leica service anyways? The lens still works from F2.8 to F16 and if I apply some pressure on the front element after focusing, it also works at F1.4 but it is not ideal in action situations. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

yanidel Posted July 25, 2024 Author Share #4  Posted July 25, 2024 Found a solution in Buenos Aires with a specialized service man. Thanks again for help.
FrozenInTime Posted July 25, 2024 Share #5 Â Posted July 25, 2024 It looks like the whole element group is moving. I fixed the same on mine through the rear mount, by simply tightening up the recessed ring that has two key slots.
yanidel Posted July 25, 2024 Author Share #6  Posted July 25, 2024 Yes, the service man told me it was an easy job. I'll take the opportunity to have it cleaned and tightened up   I prefer not to touch it myself, very clumsy with my hands.
