gammarART Posted July 16, 2024 Share #1  Posted July 16, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone 🙂 Does anyone here have experience with half cases with an integrated battery door? To mount these, you have to remove the base plate. Now, an M is not known for being weather-sealed and protected, but it can handle quite a bit. The question is, how does it perform when I only have the case on without the base plate for protection? It bothers me that I have to remove the current half case (one with straps above the lugs) for battery changes and image transfer. Especially on the upcoming 3-week trip through Sri Lanka (80% humidity and higher), battery changes throughout the day will be necessary. Naturally, this raises concerns that the humidity could affect the camera without the base plate. What experiences have you had with this? Thank you all.
