Bug? Exposure preview in hybrid shutter mode

It seems there could be a bug with exposure preview in hybrid shutter mode. Exposure preview in this mode stops working when exposure compensation is changed such that the required shutter speed is high enough to require the electronic shutter. Exposure preview doesn’t change when the shutter speed hits 1/16K sec. for example.

However, if the shutter type is set to electronic instead of hybrid, exposure preview works up to the maximum shutter speed of the electronic shutter.

I find it quite frustrating to use hybrid mode shooting wide open in bright daylight as it can result in much darker images than what appear on the LCD.

Is this a known and expected behavior of exposure preview in hybrid shutter mode? Other cameras I’ve used haven’t had an issue with this.

In hybrid shutter mode, exposure preview stops working once your shutter speed is so high that it requires the electronic shutter. The previewed exposure is limited by the speed of the mechanical shutter.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Activate exposure preview (either permanent or with half-press of shutter)

Shoot outside in bright light

Choose a wide aperture of f/2

Use Auto ISO and Auto Shutter

Reduce the exposure using exposure compensation

Keep reducing the exposure until the required shutter speed exceeds the limit of the mechanical shutter

Exposure preview will no longer darken the image

Take the shot (shutter should be at 1/16,000 sec.), and it will be darker than what was shown by exposure preview

I've tried to reproduce it and can't. 
Exposure compensation adjustments show the appropriate brightness changes in Live View and the resultant images are pretty much exactly what I saw. All at speeds over 1/4000 upto 1/16000 sec in hybrid shutter mode.

It could just the M11 Monochrom or just my unit. Will try a full reset. Thank you!

(edit: only other thing might be I was using an uncoded lens manually set to 50 f/2 – doubt that will make a difference, though)

I'll try again with an uncoded lens with and without lens profile... but I'll have to do that tomorrow. Weather here is dark and gloomy now.

I did some more testing, and now it seems to be less consistent. I think what's happening is that in bright daylight, the LCD has a limit as to how far it can or will dim itself due to changes to exposure preview (I guess any dimmer and the screen would not be visible).

Did a full reset and continue to test. It seems exposure preview will update the preview if the shutter speed moves from 1/10,000 sec. to 1/16,000 sec., but it won’t adjust the preview when moving from 1/12,500 sec. to 1/16,000 sec. 

Anyway, not a really big issue. When shooting wide open in bright light, I’m just going to switch to the electronic shutter instead of hybrid.

I hope I've done everything right, but after that I can't replicate it. Even at shutter speeds faster than 1/4000, both the screen display and the image itself darken when I set the exposure compensation to minus.
