M 11 and Zeiss 18 mm ZM  what is the best code for this lens on an M 11 not intrested in other camera codes that work with them

All i can say is the Distagon 18/4 vignettes more or less the same way as the Biogon 21/4.5 and the latter works fine on the M11 with no significant color shift when hand-coded as Elmarit 21/2.8 11134 (code 000001).

I haven't tried the Zeiss, but I did manage to test the Elmar Leica One, and it was a beautiful lens!

 

If you're lucky, you can find them for $2K or even a bit less.

 

I didn't end up getting it due to other priorities, but it's on my bucket list.

I have the Zeiss 18mm - I use the Tri-elmar code at 18mm and that seems to work just fine. The lens is sharp and works well. Some have reported magenta in the edges - but I have not seen that on my copy.
