michaelbrenner Posted June 30, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a vintage 21mm finder, which at first fit properly in the flash shoe of my M11. However, now it fits so loosely that it will slide off, unless I wedge it in there with something (I usually use a toothpick on each side). The digital finder continues to fit with no issues. Any ideas on how to remedy this situation?

erl Posted June 30, 2024 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2024 Leica need to redesign the hot shoe. My M10 has the same issue. I have lost two EVF's as a direct consequence, at great expense to self. The same EVF's fit perfectly in my M6,7,8 and 9, but the M10 hot shoes is a design disaster. I have had Leica Service 'adjust' the springs but the result is pathetic. My solution is to insert a small piece of insulation tape to 'jam' the shoe when inserted. Most inelegant as a bit of engineering, but it works.

Thank you for the correction. More accurately put: The Auxillary VF, as in it goes in the hot shoe.
