OwenF Posted June 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All, A long time coveting a Leica and I finally entered the fold with a new to me M4-P....and then a CL (film), and then I had to have another one and bought a mint MD-2. All film cameras and I'm waiting on some time to develop my test rolls and see how they perform. Hopefully better than I did as I shot a roll on the CL with the lens cap on. Shot another test roll on the CL and then opened the back thinking I had rewound the film....but no I had not. Oh well, a good excuse to shoot another roll....... Originally from Dublin I've been living in Brisbane for over 30 years and getting back into photography after a long lay off. I mainly shoot street but with the occasional portrait thrown in as well. Cheers, Owen 1

Cheers, Owen I am sure that you will be pleased with the results, and maybe even more important with the shooting experience of the Leica rangefinders. In particular the M4-P basically has the same rangefinder as modern day digital Ms. You have found some creative ways to use your CL 🙂, been there done that (the cap thing at least). If you want to explore other ways... I found out the hard way that even when you focus very carefully with your collapsible lens, all shots come out blurry if you forget to extend it before shooting 😁. And nothing beats taking some great shots and then find that your film was not loaded properly and was still sitting at the first frame of the roll ... Always make sure that you see the rewind knob turning when you advance to the next shot. 😊 Enjoy!
