shawn2nd Posted June 24, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Friends, Does anyone have a good recommendation for a Nikon F-M adapter? I have a nice Nikkor 60mm macro that I scan my film with, albeit still using an old Nikon DSLR from circa 2011 😅. I figured why not use the resolution of the M11 and try scanning with it as well. As we all know this camera isn’t cheap and I’d hate to accidentally break / scratch / etc something due to a cheap adapter. Also, I’ve never adapted non-M glass to an M body, I’m assuming such things will only work with live view, and is there anything to be concerned about with the mechanism that sets the frame lines? chris7273 Posted June 24, 2024 Share #2 Posted June 24, 2024 (edited) I have the k&f concept and it works. There is a version with an aperture slider for G lenses, it works with F lenses i bought if too for an old 60mm micro af lens and it is perfect for slide scanning with the M11. for the focus : I use the Leica app on my iPad as a remote and focus aid. Oh wow cool! I've haven't used Leica Fotos App extensively yet, but is it really sharp / fast enough to nail critical focus on the grain for scanning? chris7273 Posted June 24, 2024 Share #6 Posted June 24, 2024 Yes it is good for focusing on grain with the magnifier in live view.
dpitt Posted June 24, 2024 Share #7 Posted June 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like URTH better than K&F. The price is similar but finish and build quality feel better to me. Also, they plant some trees to compensate for carbon with each buy.
Siriusone59 Posted June 25, 2024 Share #8 Posted June 25, 2024 I use the URTH adapter for Nikon F to Leica M occasionally and it seems to work fine on my M10R. Never really noticed any effect with frame lines, maybe because I must use live view or visoflex for focusing. Good question though, all I can say is that it hasn't damaged anything on my camera. dkCambridgeshire Posted June 27, 2024 Share #9 Posted June 27, 2024 URTH lens adapters are superb quality. I have 6 for use with L mount and M cameras. And when ordered from URTH in UK they usually arrive next day. BW, dunk

I am lucky enough to live in a rural area, I have planted some salads and tomatoes in my garden 🙂
J S H Posted June 29, 2024 Share #11 Posted June 29, 2024 Mine is a Kipon. No aperture control, but all my Nikon mount lenses have aperture rings. I have had good luck with Kipon adapters and I have several others in various mounts. All are well finished and made to what feels like a tight tolerance. Infinity focus is almost always perfect on the Nikon lenses with both my M mount and E mount cameras.
sok Posted June 30, 2024 Share #12 Posted June 30, 2024 I have the one from Novoflex, a bit more expensive but built extremely well.
kdt Posted July 10, 2024 Share #13 Posted July 10, 2024 Thumbs up on Urth adapters. I have Leica R, Minolta SR, Canon FD, Nikon F, Pentax K all to Leica L. Have not used M mount but would think it must be good as well. All focus to infinity at the index mark ... Nice finish plus Lock well... I can also recommend the Noveflex. Very solid, no wiggling even with bigger lenses. Here a shot with the M11 and the Carl Zeiss ZF.2 15mm f/2.8. I also use it with the Carl Zeiss ZF.2 APO 135mm f/2 which is on the heavy side. Welcome, dear visitor!
