The adapter could be more expensive than the lens! The results are super, promised!
dpitt Posted June 17, 2024 Share #3 Posted June 17, 2024 (edited) Adapter R-M can be any decent adapter like from URTH around €60 Your M240 will not recognize the lens or the adapter, but it will work just fine with EVF or LV. Macro-Elmar-R 100 or Macro Elmarit 60mm R give excellent results. The 60mm can go to 1:1 and 100 goes to 1:2 with macro adapter R. See the WIKI on top of this page for more info. The Macro Elmar R 100 comes as a R bellows version with head only or as a normal lens with focus unit that has a smaller maximum magnification factor. With bellows the 100mm reaches 1:1 and the 60 mm can go beyond 1:1, I am not sure how far. It depends on how much distance you need between lens and subject. If you want to stay in the M domain, the only option is the Macro Elmar 90mm and specific adapter. Excellent results, even at infinity. But 1:6 only without adapter range finder coupled, and with adapter I think only 1:3. See Wiki for more info. Edited June 17, 2024 by dpitt
