It's been a while since I posted a photo, that's because it's been a while since I've had time for much photography!

 

This bird is hunting in the setting pond from a fish hatchery's outflow. R8/DMR, 400mm f/5.6 T-Noflexar. All comments welcome.

I've missed seeing your work. this is right up there with what we expect of you, and as Peter notes, the transluscent bill is enchanting; and so is the downy, subtly detailed coat of feathers.

Thanks all for looking. Peter, this Novoflex is the 3-element T-Noflexar. I'm not sure who made the optical unit but it's not the Leica version. I'm becoming very impressed with its optical qualities. The color rendition isn't quite as saturated as the f/6.8 Telyts but if I do my part the detail rendition is exceptionally good for a substantial part of the picture area. For a US$125 lens it's quite a bargain.
