telyt Posted December 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's been a while since I posted a photo, that's because it's been a while since I've had time for much photography! This bird is hunting in the setting pond from a fish hatchery's outflow. R8/DMR, 400mm f/5.6 T-Noflexar. All comments welcome.

stuny Posted December 5, 2007 Share #5 Posted December 5, 2007 doug - I've missed seeing your work. this is right up there with what we expect of you, and as Peter notes, the transluscent bill is enchanting; and so is the downy, subtly detailed coat of feathers. imported_peter_m Posted December 7, 2007 Share #6 Posted December 7, 2007 Nice one Doug. That novoflex dose well on the DMR, dose yours have the Schneider lens or the Leica lens? Peter
telyt Posted December 7, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted December 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks all for looking. Peter, this Novoflex is the 3-element T-Noflexar. I'm not sure who made the optical unit but it's not the Leica version. I'm becoming very impressed with its optical qualities. The color rendition isn't quite as saturated as the f/6.8 Telyts but if I do my part the detail rendition is exceptionally good for a substantial part of the picture area. For a US$125 lens it's quite a bargain.
imported_peter_m Posted December 9, 2007 Share #8 Posted December 9, 2007 Hi Doug, That is quite a good bargain on that lens. Last time I seen a Novoflex price list they where still offering that lens and you could get it with either lens. Peter
