Tessar. Posted June 9, 2024 Share #1  Posted June 9, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought a new leather skin for my ME 220 recently and just got around to fitting it today so I thought I would post some pics of the process, in-case anyone's contemplating it. The ME must be about the easiest of the Ms to do as there's no frame select lever and just the lens release button on the front.  Welcome, dear visitor! A real classic! Maybe the cheap front lens cap is the only false note in the presentation 🤔🙂 Which LTM lens do you use? Maybe the 3,5cm Summaron?

Maybe the 3,5cm Summaron? Thanks, yes I'm glad it has some brassing or I might be scared to use it 😉.  Haha, yes the cheap cap! It's because I'm using a 34mm to 37mm step up ring as a "hood". The lens is the 2.8cm Hektor from 1939, uncoated. I really like it. Can you see the file marks on the LTM adapter? My TTartisan 28mm f/5.6 infinity lock fouled the adapter, so I filed it down on the edge to allow the lock to engage.
justj Posted June 10, 2024 Share #7  Posted June 10, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Great job. I was considering getting a blue lizard skin for my ME, just as I did with my previous M.
Tessar. Posted June 10, 2024 Author Share #8  Posted June 10, 2024 Sounds good. I ordered one for my M-P at the same time (same type and colour as the ME one) but they sent one for an M type 240 so I am waiting for a replacement to arrive. I bought a set of tools for the M-P as I'll have to remove the frame select lever to fit it.
