AndrewPiper Posted June 7, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys.. Hopefully this hasnt been asked but I cant find it.. Newto this M gig.. I have a 35mm Summilux on new to me M11. I dont get the two boxes that are meant to be adjusted to sit on top of each other to get the camera in focus but the centre item of the photo moves out of line instead. Im sure Im not describing that overly well here so please excuse my stupidity in advance if this is a noob thing to ask. Thank you for the advice. Kind regards. The boxes don’t sit on top of each other per se. The easiest way is to focus on a vertical line like the edge of a door. Adjust the lens until the vertical line, or door edge is neat, clean and straight. You’ll get the idea after a while.

Avatar Posted June 8, 2024 Share #4 Posted June 8, 2024 Take a picture of a subject, have them make a peace symbol with their fingers, move the focus tab until the fingers overlap on each other and you will be in focus.

Anakronox Posted June 8, 2024 Share #7 Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I would check to see if your fingers are covering up the smaller window on the face of the camera, closer to the shutter release. That’s where the split image is generated. If you’ve covered it up by accident, you won’t see it in the viewfinder. Don’t ask me how I know this 😅 Edited June 8, 2024 by Anakronox Capitalization
