Front lens is clear.

Camera usually well protected, has never been in the safari.

you mean no dust spots at f11 or higher?

a camera tech once told me that dust spots at f1.4 etc only inside the bokeh balls or flares are actually from dust outside the front of the lens

No, there is no visible dust on the photo taken with f16. I also hoped that the dusts only reside on the front lens so I removed the protection filter and cleaned the lens again before taking the second photo 😑

and hopefully cleaned the filter on both sides

The pattern of "dust motes" (or whatever they are) in all of those flare circles of light in both pics is exactly the same.  Dust on the lens or sensor can't make that happen.  How much of an enlargement are the pics you posted compared to the original image?

The first one was a crop of the original photo, the second one was not cropped, I manually focused to view the bokeh light circles better.
