I also hoped that the dusts only reside on the front lens so I removed the protection filter and cleaned the lens again before taking the second photo 😑

jaapv Posted June 4, 2024 Share #5 Posted June 4, 2024 It does not look like dust to me, too regular. I would send the images to Leica for advice.
BradS Posted June 5, 2024 Share #6 Posted June 5, 2024 reminds me of looking at "stuff" though a microscope in high school biology class.
earleygallery Posted June 5, 2024 Share #7 Posted June 5, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks a little like the sensor corrosion that affected the M9.
Mikep996 Posted June 5, 2024 Share #8 Posted June 5, 2024 The pattern of "dust motes" (or whatever they are) in all of those flare circles of light in both pics is exactly the same. Dust on the lens or sensor can't make that happen. How much of an enlargement are the pics you posted compared to the original image?
satijntje Posted June 6, 2024 Share #9 Posted June 6, 2024 IMO, this does not look like dust particles neither sensor corrosion. Send the images to Leica and ask for advice. Good luck
evikne Posted June 6, 2024 Share #10 Posted June 6, 2024 Isn't this just a pattern coming from the molded ASPH element? I've seen it on many modern lenses.
Olaf_ZG Posted June 6, 2024 Share #11 Posted June 6, 2024 May be its a pattern on the lights, as it only appears there. Doesn’t look like dust to me…

The first one was a crop of the original photo, the second one was not cropped, I manually focused to view the bokeh light circles better. Welcome, dear visitor!
