X Vario Sometimes I'm really shocked how mankind can produce the most awkward beasts of technique, as if there is no such thing as esthetics. If you're into the matter of making mountains accessible it may not be surprising, but from a distance, for instance as a 16th century painter it could be shocking. Although Jheronimus Bosch found out quite surrealistic creatures and Da Vinci was also insanely ahead of his time in matters of technique.
