For about 10 years our group of longtime friends have been getting together every Thursday morning for breakfast at a local cafe. No subject is taboo. We talk about anything and rarely solve any issues but have a damn good time doing it. I always carry a camera and this morning I thought it was time to shoot the group.

They take quite different breakfasts, almost no one has the same. Many caps too. Difficult to guess what binds them and/or what BS means, the bullshit group? That would be a good idea for me to start!

Absolutely delightful. It makes me think of Isaac Asimov's similar group, the Black Widowers.

You are correct, Otto. There were eight people and eight different breakfasts. You are also correct about the BS--it's just how we affectionately refer to ourselves. There are a few things that bind us. We all have similar political persuasions, we are all retired, we all enjoy a good laugh and none of us take ourselves too seriously. Some of us met through our work. Two are retired graphic artists I worked with through my photography. Five of us were connected in one way or another to the large University in our city.

Thanks, Stuart. Fortunately, no widowers in the group yet. It's much more likely that our wives will form a black widows group.
