Advertisement (gone after registration)

Well, I'm glad the students on our campus aren't being destructive and painting slogans all over buildings, however, I don't see what they hope to accomplish with this. They are just camping out on the Library Mall and vow to stay there "as long as it takes." They are demanding that the University divest from corporations that do business with Israel, but I think the administration is content to let them continue to camp out as long as they want--which will probably be until the semester ends and they go home for the summer. I wonder if the corporations that made these tents do business in Israel. Very likely they do.

Update: On the evening news yesterday we learned that the protesters and the University administrators had reached an understanding and the tents were all taken down. 

Translation: The semester has ended and it's time to go home for summer vacation.
