That's exactly what I mean, but unfortunately that's not the case for me. I can only move the AF field with the joystick as desired, but I can also center it with a double tap on the (switched off) display. Yes, that is true. A double tap centers the focus point even in EVF extended mode. But I can't fathom how you can double-tap with the nose. It is hard enough with the finger :).
Advertisement Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Hi SrMi, Take a look here SL3 nose problems. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jonathan Levin Posted July 4, 2024 Share #22 Â Posted July 4, 2024 (edited) Ning Ning. You are correct! I just tested this out. Even with the settings you and I are using (post #15), a double tap on the darkened LCD does in fact re-center the AF field! Â I'm glad you have to double press or this might be annoying. Thanks for noticing that. It's nice to know that you can do that. Edited July 4, 2024 by Jonathan Levin

I guess Leica engineers could predict accidental double taps, but they are apparently possible. You could send a request via Fotos app to add option to disable double tap to center. Jonathan Levin Posted July 4, 2024 Share #26  Posted July 4, 2024 I think the way that this works is really cool. And yes, Leica must have anticipated the nose thing. The double-tap makes sense and is a quick way to get the AF field back "home".
