New Q3 Battery in a Q2 ?

Q2 batteries are now out of stock and replaced by a new universal Q3/Q2 battery with more capacity and less cost …

Anybody used the newer Q3 battery in a Q2 or Q2M ?  Any problems observed with either camera operation or recharging the Q3 battery with your Q2 charger ?

Supposed to be compatible, but I thought I’d post here to see what you have experienced ?

Among my SL, SL2, and Q2 I have 7 OEM batteries. Two are the new version. I use them interchangeably with the three cameras without issue. They charge fine in the old chargers.

I also ended up buying one of the newer batteries as a spare for a used Q2 I just bought, and have had no problems using it in the camera or with the Leica plug in the wall charger that came with the Q2.  However, I also have one of the Nitecore USB chargers that were made to charge the older original Q2 batteries, and haven't tried charging the new battery with the USB charger as their specs say for use with the older batteries only.  Has anyone been able to charge the newer batteries in this USB charger as well?
