Thumbs up ( Match Technical) for SL3

Hi all. Anyone knows if Match Technical, the makers of the SL2 Thumbs up ( among others), is still in business?  Have not been able to find any info online - Interested in finding out if they will be making a thumb support for the SL3  Thanks

I think in the latest episode of Red Dot Forum Camera Talk they mentioned that Match Technical is working on an updated Thumbs Up for the SL3. Expected in June or thereabouts.

Thanks for the info! I had actually started to watch that episode but had not gotten to that part yet. I find the thumbs up useful in getting a good grip on the camera. Or maybe I just got used to using it. 😀

I've never used a Thumbs Up on a SL body, but I always liked them (or the Leica ones) on the Q and (digital) M models. Might give it a try when the SL3 version comes around and I manage to find one.

I have been looking for an SL-3 Thumbs Up.
Is there a Leica or Match Technical Thumbs up for an SL-3 or will the Match Thumbs up from the SL-2 Fit if anyone knows?

The thumbs up for the SL-2 will not fit the SL-3 unfortunately. I recently contacted the folks at Leica Store Miami but they do not know yet when the model for the SL-3 will be available. I also have not been able to get any contact information for Match Technical in the web. So it’s a waiting game now.

Seems that Match Technical's EP-SL3 will be released soon, based on this information.

Yes, in stock today at the Miami store.

I picked one up from the folks at the Miami Store and as before, the quality is top notch but it now sits a little higher than on the SL2 which gives you better access to the thumb wheel and joystick.

This uses the flash shoe to attach? This is an accessory I would use for holding camera better one handed while using some sort of hand held flash in the other. Problem is that there needs to be a flash trigger attached to flash shoe. Plus 232$? Owch!

Yes it does use the flash shoe to attach and although it is made of solid brass ( or so they say) it carries the dreaded “Leica tax”. But it does provide for better handling, especially when using heavier/longer lenses ( imo).

I love both of my MT Thumb's up for the SL2-S, wouldn't do without them, the quality is superb.
