TeleElmar135mm Posted April 9, 2024 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, here are some shots with the new Sigma 70-200mm from my first copy of this lens. I had (as Ireportet here in the forum) some problems with the AF in infinity with my SL 601. Next week I will get another copy. But when the AF was ok it was a very good lens and when the second copy is ak. it will be a keeper. At the end there is a comparison with the "old" Apo Telyt 180mm. All are taken with the SL 601. jonoslack Posted April 9, 2024 Share #10 Posted April 9, 2024 These are great Michael - the comparison is tougher, it looks like the light was nicer for the Telyt 180mm (sunny?) It looks really good though! all the best

It looks really good though! all the best Hi Jono, thanks for your nice replay. You are right, the weather was more sonny with the APO 180mm. But from sharpness they are very close I think. So: Does this mean it's a very good Vario or does this mean how great was the "old" Apo. I think they are even. But the Sigma is a little bit brighter and the close focus is about 1m. That's the biggest drawback from the much lighter Apo (2,5m) - and of course the missing OC when you use a 601 without image stabilisation. (But I didn't miss the eye-/animal detect of the SL3 ).
