I had a rather disturbing event occur this evening. While using the iPhone FOTOS "app" my Q3 locked up -- solid.  Switching the camera off, then on had no effect.  The red Leica "ball" remained on the LCD display regardless of power switch position.  I resolved the issue only by dropping the battery and reinserting it.  Wow.

Side commentary:  The FOTOS app functionality is excellent -- a real "value added."  Unfortunately, it takes a l-o-n-g time to connect (even with the camera is 1' away from the phone) and numerous "button pushes" are required to get the iPhone and Q3 "talking."  This really needs to be streamlined.  Don't expect to use this quickly, e.g., when you see an opportunity coming up for its use while engaged in street photography.  One must plan ahead and expect debilitating time-outs to follow in very short order (even when Q3 time-out is set to the maximum.)

The FOTOS "app" offered me an opportunity to e-mail three .log files but I would have had to hunt/peck a message on my iPhone's pathetic on-screen "keyboard" (no way.)  Is there an address to which these files should be sent -- or does Leica even care about such misbehaviors, I wonder?  The situation experienced this evening was extremely disappointing -- at  the risk of understatement.  Not expected from Leica.
