I had a rather disturbing event occur this evening. While using the iPhone FOTOS "app" my Q3 locked up -- solid. Switching the camera off, then on had no effect. The red Leica "ball" remained on the LCD display regardless of power switch position. I resolved the issue only by dropping the battery and reinserting it. Wow. Side commentary: The FOTOS app functionality is excellent -- a real "value added." Unfortunately, it takes a l-o-n-g time to connect (even with the camera is 1' away from the phone) and numerous "button pushes" are required to get the iPhone and Q3 "talking." This really needs to be streamlined. Don't expect to use this quickly, e.g., when you see an opportunity coming up for its use while engaged in street photography. One must plan ahead and expect debilitating time-outs to follow in very short order (even when Q3 time-out is set to the maximum.) The FOTOS "app" offered me an opportunity to e-mail three .log files but I would have had to hunt/peck a message on my iPhone's pathetic on-screen "keyboard" (no way.) Is there an address to which these files should be sent -- or does Leica even care about such misbehaviors, I wonder? The situation experienced this evening was extremely disappointing -- at the risk of understatement. Not expected from Leica.

Hallo in die Runde Ich habe mal eine Frage. Ist bei jemanden schon mal das Glas im Bajonett was zur Objektivabtastung gehört, kaputt gegangen? Bei meiner zeigte sich erst ein kleiner Art schwarzer Streifen. Die Kamera erkannte aber noch die Objektive korrekt. Dann bemerkte ich, dass Sie immer mal wieder ein und das selbe Objektiv mit unterschiedlichen Exif angaben abspeicherte. Darauf habe ich gesehen, dass es anscheinend an einer Ecke sich das Glas vom Bajonett gelöst hatte. Daraufhin habe ich die Kamera über meinen Händler zu Leica eingeschickt, weil ich noch Garantie hatte. Jetzt kam von Leica die Rückmeldung, das es sich nicht um einen Garantieschaden handelt und es repariert werden muss. Jetzt ist natürlich mein Problem. Ist das Bajonett an der Stelle so empfindlich, ich weiß beim besten willen nicht, wie ich hätte den Schaden erzeugen soll. Leider. Das trübt extrem die Nutzbarkeit für mich, da traut man sich ja nicht mehr das Objektiv zu wechseln. Ich habe keine Adapter, nur M Linsen von Leica und Voigtländer benutzt. Kennt jemand das Problem. laut Aussage von Leica wäre es im Promillebereich im Customer Care aufgetreten. Ich wundere mich nur, dass die Kamera so empfindlich sein soll. Schade eigentlich.

Hello, I'm a new Q owner. I just got mine, a "mint-condition used" from B & H. I charged the battery and inserted the SD card... and couldn't! It won't go all the way down for a latch/click sound... It bounces right back with a springy-sound. I thought maybe I wasn't pushing it hard enough, and I did give more pressure, but I was afraid I'd break something. I've tried with 4 different cards and none worked. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Could it be a defect, or an user error?? I emailed B & H but they're on vacation until mid-next week. I was hoping to take it to my vacation next week Any suggestions/opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! -Lits.
