I be new to SL system and waiting for the new SL3 unit. 
 

When I get the unit in the shop, besides cosmetics of the camera body. What should  be checking on the camera before I leave the shop ?

Hopefully you are buying from an authorized Leica dealer, just schedule some time with your dealer before pickup so they can give you a quick-start tutorial. Between buying new from a dealer and factory warranty (don't forget to register your purchase with Leica to extend the warranty) you will be in good shape. I hope you enjoy your new SL3 as much as I am enjoying mine!

I have ordered my SL3 from Leica Shop in Singapore. Thanks for your tips.
