I have all the bokeh that I want from my 35mm 1.4 FLE (11663-not the new one).
I wanted to go back to why I chose Leica in the first place.
That is, discreet, small, clarity-filled, hyperfocal.
I have an Elmarit 24mm and wanted a 28mm. I settled on the newest (2016, I believe) Elmarit.
Wow am I happy. Very sharp, not bad bokeh, amazing ease of use. I use it on an M10-P, M9-P, and an M10-M
Anybody else loving this little lens. I have put away the lens hood and put on the accessory filter thread cover.

I foolishly sold mine a while back and eventually rebought it. What you say about getting back to the appeal of the M system is exactly my experience. I own a lot of lenses, but my most-used pair is the 28 Elmarit and 50 Summarit. I feel like I can do almost anything I want with those two lenses, especially on modern digital Ms with their low-light capabilities.

Yes, it's an amazing lens.  I actually have the penultimate V1 ASPH, which I believe it is the same optically.  Anyway, it delivers blistering sharpness and contrast.  Nice get.

Congrats! I had the lens for a couple years and absolutely loved the rendering. To be perfectly honest, I actually think the bokeh is perfect. I switched recently to the Color Skopar 28 because I found it does everything I liked about the Elmarit in an even smaller, Black Paint package, for cheaper. So far, I haven’t really noticed the one big (supposed) difference between the two lenses: the vignetting is more pronounced on the Color Skopar. But on film, I haven’t really seen a difference.
