I have tried several times today. Impossible to connect my M11P to my ipad.

I have ordered few days ago usb C gen3. dunno to connect it it does not work.

I went to my leica store today to buy a leica cable and nothing.

I have tried in mfi or ptp mode nothing.

I am probably doing something wrong.

Where can i find the procedure to connect my camera to fotos ?

The owners manual is not up to date with firmware update. i try with apairing function i tried without it.. I tried by adding a camera in fotos on ipad...

M11 with photos app only supports Apple MFi cables like the one that came with the camera or the original USB-C cable from apple iPad.

The camera has to be set to USB mode Apple MFi

if you are using the Leica cable that has apple lightning connector you will need the adapter from apple  if you are using iPad with USB-c

In my opinion, you are better of using a the 5Ghz Wifi to connect, it is faster than the 2.0 USB cables.
It is all a limitation of the Fotos app and Apple MFi cables.

If you use the App Capture one on the iPad you can use any USB-C 3.1 cable and get fast downloads and tether

OK.  But the M11 connects to the Leica FOTOS app on my iPad Pro just fine using the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the iPad.  Not that I'd use it that way, just wanted to check if it was possible.

I can download camera images using FOTOS and then bring them in to Apple Photos if desired.

the cable that came with your iPad Pro is USB-C 2.0 Apple MFi.
2.0 is slow, slower than wifi. transferring a file over wifi will take half the time.
